Birthright

Just to be clear, I'm also a sports geek. And although basketball is one of my least favorite sports (well I guess it's better than tennis and cricket) it is truly the sport my alma matter does best. And they've done it again this year. On Saturday they will head into the Final Four once again. But believe me, their were many doubts about this teams worthiness in general. Could they even have a winning season? And I will admit that from my viewpoint it wasn't looking good. BUT! BILL FREAKIN' SELF. That's all I can say. He pulled that those boys together and made them a machine. True, at times the machine looked pretty ugly, but it got the job done. And job number one? Big 12 Conference Championship. So to my boys in blue, Good Luck! And don't listen to Jack Henry....he's an old goat. Sorry goats. That really is an insult.

Bleeding Hearts and Bloody Sweet Accents!!

I have been reading Song of Ice and Fire Series for a while now and have been lucky enough to snag up a copy of Season One of Game of Thrones. OH SO DELICIOUS!! Usually I'm pretty disappointed with TV/film adaptations of literature but this is (so far) a job well done. And I have to say all the hot sex is nothing to shake a stick at! As of the first of April, HBO (which is only available to those who are silly enough to buy cable and movie package...boo!!!) will air the second season of Game of Thrones and they have at least been nice enough to give us some character previews! You'll probably need them, especially if you are not familiar with the books...Martin makes the cast of a Russian epic look, well, meager.

Here we meet Stannis, Robert Baratheon's younger, but not youngest, brother and the Red Lady! They picked a much better looking actor then I had imagined Stannis in my head...crap...I might have to like him more.

FYI: Davos is Awesome!

Next up we learn a little more about Robb, but I'm too busy trying to keep my pants from melting off because of Richard Madden's real accent....ahhhhhhhhhh.

Mommy Geekiness

My boy and I love Star Wars and it's actually a fear of his that our future child will not be interested in science fiction or fantasy. (OMG! What if they like sports or something we don't get?!) So I just told him that we'd start him/her off early and luckily there is no better time than now as being geeky is super, super cool. And it just so happens I found some really cute ways on to start off little-uns right!
